Patient Account Rep

POSITION SUMMARY Reports To: Director, Patient Accounts Summary: Process patient accounts through assigned payers-per payer requirements- until they become patient#s responsibility. Utilize computer software systems necessary to process all claims, electronic and paper. Participates and assimilates all education/ compliance materials and opportunities for the goal of continuous improvement and compliance. Work Schedule: Standard Work Schedule SKILLS # ABILITIES Education High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Experience Six months to one year related experience Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft#Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility. Computer knowledge Certificates # Licenses N/A Other Requirements Ability to deal with upset patients and uncooperative people. Knowledge of laws, regulations and requirements for various carriers. This position requires constant sitting and frequent use of hands and fingers.
