OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY

Location: Duke Integrative Medicine/Center For Living Campus

Record and generate variety of information pertaining to the patient revenue process. Accurate, high-performance level position requires certain degree of knowledge of complex rules and corresponding ability to apply these rules in the work environment to achieve desired outcomes

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

This position will support the office of DIM/Guest Services. Answering telephones, scheduling appointments and all clerical/administrative responsibilities with good customer service to staff and patients.

Fiscal Responsibility:

Record or generate revenue by gathering and processing information that impacts the patient revenue process. Fiscal responsibility measured on high production levels, quality of work output, in compliance with established DUHS policy standards.

May also be defined in terms of value of work portfolio assigned and /or revenue expectations.Customer Service:Initiate and develop relationships with customers in order to gather and process information or resolve issues in order to receive accurate reimbursement and optimize internal and external customer satisfaction.Clerical Duties:Operate general office equipment. Generates letters, works on spreadsheets; enters and sorts data.Scope of Authority:Work independently and has the ability to make decisions relative to individual work activities. Accountable for individual work activities.

Work assignments defined by immediate supervisor or manager. Job does not require supervision of other employees in the unit.

Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally required through a high school education, with some postsecondary education preferred.Additional training or working knowledge of related business

Two years experience working in hospital access, physician office or billing and collections or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Excellent communication skills, oral and written. Ability to analyze data, perform multiple tasks and work independently.

Must be able to develop and maintain professional, service-oriented working relationships with patients, physicians, co-workers and supervisors. Must be able to understand and comply with policies and procedures.

Patient Recruitment Lead Role As a Patient Recruitment Lead you will be at the core of strategic operations and delivery of patient recruitment and retention strategies. You will have a key role in the implementation and delivery of innovative solutions to enroll and engage patients in clinical trials. You will work very closely with the clinical and project leadership teams, and partner with our in-house experts such as Technology, Data sciences, Marketing, Creative and Content Development. You will lead and manage projects and be responsible for project success, including meeting key performance metrics, delivering within budget and customer satisfaction. Patients and their treatment journeys will drive your day-to-day delivery. You will regularly get involved in process review, improvement activities and innovation implementation. You can also become a Subject Matter Expert on products, services and industry trends. You will be an advocate for our end-to-end services both internally and externally. RESPONSIBILITIES * Collaboration with recruitment Account Lead and internal delivery teams to manage the coordination, planning and implementation of Patient Recruitment and Retention operational plans to positively impact recruitment and retention rates for assigned projects. * Serve as a member of the IQVIA clinical team and a patient recruitment expert for internal project teams, clients and other internal stakeholders to implement operational recruitment plans on new and/or existing projects needing recruitment and retention services. * Develop and review recruitment strategy plans in partnership with the Clinical Lead. * Communicate with clients and project teams to implement, monitor and report on the impact of recruitment/retention tactical plans; make additional operational and tactical recommendations as needed based on study performance. * Coordinate operational and tactic-related project activities for the study team and client to ensure that overall project milestones are met. * Manage the scope of work, objectives, quality of deliverables and other activities of assigned projects (based on scope, may co-manage or independently manage these projects) on time and on budget. * Management of assigned project budget(s) to meet financial and company goals. * Develop and implement risk management plans for minimizing impact on project objectives and deliverables. * Represent IQVIA Patient Recruitment at site/client-facing meetings (i.e. KOM, IM, F2F/LL, etc.) to present strategy/rationale, train CRAs and site staff, and conduct recruitment support workshops as required. * Maintain knowledge of current recruitment trends, vendors and technologies to increase productivity and recommend additional support as needed. * Leverage internal intelligence to support and refine strategy on assigned projects. * Provide technical expertise as able in support of project specific and interdepartmental training efforts. * Support continued process improvement within the patient recruitment team to ensure quality delivery. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * General project management experience including directing a project team and management of budget and project financials. * Direct customer management experience. * In-depth knowledge of the drug development processes across all functional areas. * Knowledge and ability to apply ICH Good Clinical Practice and applicable regulatory guidelines. * Comfortable working with data and technology. * Knowledge of the digital development process as well as the creative process is preferred. * Excellent organizational, collaboration and problem solving/critical thinking skills. * Effective time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities. * Strong interpersonal skills and effective presentation skills. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients. * Computer skills including proficiency in aspects of data analysis and presentation software, Microsoft Word and Excel. * Good written and verbal communication skills including good command of English. * Ability to influence effectively within IQVIA team and project teams including Therapeutic Strategy Lead, Project Lead, Clinical Lead, CRA and the client. * Ability to work creatively and independently in a complex global environment. MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in a healthcare or other scientific discipline or educational equivalent; 3 to 6 yrs. of relevant industry experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
