Job Description:

Join the team a part of our partnership with Adventist Health. This longstanding strategic alignment and shared goal to improve quality of care and patient experience assumes day-to-day management of Adventist Health's revenue cycle and clinical applications IT staff.

As the Patient Access Supervisor at Adventist Health Portland, Oregon, you will provide daily supervision of the patient access department. Leverage your registration and admitting experience to monitor trends in volume, errors, cancellations and other appointment-driven reporting and audit staff performance. You will work with the Patient Access Manager and Director to plan and develop new systematic approaches to maximize upfront collections and accuracy in registrations, maintain policy accuracy, and monitor department efficiencies of meeting departmental goals, while also implementing plans for improvement when needed. Expanding upon your mentoring abilities you will develop team goals and manage for results including development of associates by coaching performance, completing performance reviews, goal setting and development planning.

Additional Information

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • At least 3 years' patient access work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Accounting, Business or Finance

  • At least 1 year of people management work experience

  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR)

Expectations

  • Willing to travel up to 20% as needed

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

  • Must currently reside in or near Portland, OR or be willing to relocate to the area
