Overview

St. Luke's Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a Patient Access Specialist 1 to join our Patient Access Registration team.

The Patient Access Specialist 1 is responsible for responding to patient, provider, and department/service area needs with a high emphasis on customer service and accuracy. This includes, but is not limited to, registration, scheduling, referral coordination, and general inquiries from patients, providers and the general public.

Shift Details:

Weekends

8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Responsibilities

  • Supports an exceptional experience through all customer interactions, ensuring professional, timely and accurate communication- both verbally and in writing.

  • Supports a perspective payment program by communicating organization policies, financial options, explaining insurance coverage/non-coverage.

  • Utilize a variety of technology, tools, and resources to support departmental workflows.

  • Performs one of the following workflows with attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency:

    • Call front lining
    • Patient Registration
    • Scheduling

Our Patient Access Specialists are responsible for accurately scheduling and preregistering patient encounters while utilizing excellent customer services standards within our electronic medical record system. As a Patient Access Specialist in one of our Outpatient Rehab Ortho clinics across the St. Luke's Health System, you will not only schedule our patient's upcoming appointment but will also be assisting in supporting clinical care areas to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. This includes treatment set-up and take-down, stocking supplies, tracking data, equipment maintenance and cleaning. Location - Various Locations in Treasure Valley Responsibilities * Supports an exceptional experience through all customer interactions, ensuring professional, timely and accurate communication- both verbally and in writing. * Supports a perspective payment program by communicating organization policies, financial options, explaining insurance coverage/non-coverage. * Utilize a variety of technology, tools, and resources to support departmental workflows. * Performs one of the following workflows with attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency: * - Call front lining * - Patient Registration * - Complex Scheduling * - Referral Coordination * - Order Transcription * - Pre-Authorization * - Benefit Verification * - Patient Obligation Estimates * Cross trained to support multiple functional areas. * May serve as a role model, mentor, trainer and/or resource to coworkers. * Performs other duties as assigned.
