Job Description:

As a Patient Access Representative, you will be the first face patients interact with when they come into the hospital. To ensure that patient registration is done in a timely and accurate manor you will work one on one with the patient to gather all the pertinent account information. You will grow your background in understanding insurance policies and how to collect patient liability payments as you work on the front lines. We will look to you to keep open communication between appropriate departments of patients' arrival and guarantee the correct paperwork that is needed for them is ready to go. Adventist Health has transitioned responsibility for its revenue management services to Cerner. This strategic alignment between Cerner and Adventist Health, provides an integrated revenue cycle platform across Adventist Health's acute, ambulatory and post-acute venues. Covering all Adventist Health's revenue management services to improve end-to-end revenue management across the entire Adventist Health organization.

Additional Information

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • At least 1 year of customer service, retail, call center or hospitality work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of work experience in a multi-provider practice

Expectations

  • Ability to work full-time variable shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

  • Must live in or around the Los Angeles, CA area
