Patient Access Manager - Outpatient Registration/Guest Services

The Patient Access Financial Clearance Manager is responsible for assigned areas of the financial clearance process. These areas include scheduling, authorizations, insurance verification, benefits management, eligibility and pre-registration. The manager consults with physician practices, service line managers, and others to promote an efficient and effective financial clearance process. The manager is expected to motivate staff to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, and to meet the organization and departmental goals for customer service and financial performance. This position manages both onsite and remote staff members.

• High School graduate or equivalent required. Preferred undergraduate degree in management, business or a healthcare discipline.

• Minimum of 3 years experience in hospital office management or clinic management.

• License / Certification required: CHAM through National Association of Health Access Managers preferred.

• Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients.

• Knowledge of HIPAA standards and regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.

• The ability to communicate effectively with patients, guest, and hospital personnel. The ability to show compassion and sensitivity for patient comfort. The ability to maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of basic Windows based PC operations.
