Hours: 5:30AM-4PM and 7:30AM-6PM (10-hour shifts)

Weekend Rotation: every 3rd (Saturday and Sunday)

Holidays: Will participate in the holiday rotation

Job Summary:

This is a direct patient-service position as a front-line reception/patient registration clerk in our Hospital. Primary responsibilities include patient registration for hospital inpatient, outpatient, urgent care and emergency room. Additional reception and customer service duties include switchboard, cashier functions and general office clerical duties. Customer service and patient privacy are top priority.

Qualifications:

• Strong customer focus required. Must be able to show empathy and have a true passion for helping others. Positive, service-oriented attitude is a must while maintaining strict patient confidentiality at all times.

• Successful candidate will exhibit excellent communication, have a strong computer skill set, attention to detail, and demonstrate flexibility, dependability, and professionalism.

• Ability to work independently. Candidate is expected to be a self-starter and be committed to support GRH mission, quality improvement goals, and customer satisfaction initiatives.

• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) knowledge helpful; Excellian experience a plus.

• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.

• Medical terminology coursework, with medical secretarial/administrative degree. In leu of educational background, we will accept previous medical office experience or prior administrative/secretarial experience.

Schedule:

This fully benefits eligible position is scheduled 10-hour day shifts, 80 hours per two-week schedule having day hours that includes working every third weekend (Sat/Sun). Position would also take part in our holiday rotation.
