Job Summary
This position is responsible for supporting Reading Hospital operations and providing excellent customer service by answering phone calls received on the Patient Access Helpline, the price estimate line, Secure chat or Outlook. The assistant serves as a resource to the front-end staff who check in and register patients at various locations under the Tower Health umbrella.
In addition, the assistant also assists in setting new Users up with the various websites and tools that are needed to help them complete accurate registrations. They respond to patient requests for price estimates on upcoming procedures or just for the purpose of shopping around.
Assistants also work on accounts returned to us by our MA Eligibility vendor, as well accounts that are reported to us by our Coverage Discovery Vendor. Assistant will also support Admissions, and are responsible for covering the Patient Access
Are also responsible for WQ Management in EPIC and the delivery of CMS regulatory forms as it relates to patients who are actively in a status of Observation and/or inpatient, all within the CMS guidelines.
Prefer 1-2 years' experience in registration and/or insurance verification. Excellent customer service skills as well as communication skills both oral and written.
