JOB SUMMARY: Performs a variety of duties including reception, pre-registration, registration, scheduling appointment, and switchboard functions.
Follows established telephone procedure in the case of a fire alarm of other emergencies and transmits announcements on the P.A.
system as required.
EXPERIENCE: Two years related office experience.
Associate degree or business school preferred.
Two years prior scheduling, billing, accounts receivable and collections experience in healthcare, preferably in clinic or hospital billing, claims resolution and customer service preferred.
Medical terminology preferred.
Proficient in keyboarding with good spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Organized, with good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Strong interpersonal human relations skills.
