Patient Access Admissions Coordinator

Performs a wide range of data collection and assists in all phases of scheduling, pre-registration and registration process.
Responsibilities include: scheduling clients for outpatient intakes and ongoing services, maintaining quality customer service, outpatient and inpatient registration, insurance eligibility verification, establishing and maintaining medication prior authorizations, establishing and maintaining service authorizations, performs all regulatory requirements including but not limited to Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) questionnaire, Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN's), obtaining necessary signatures, and collect payment for patient due amount. Act as liaison with Patient Financial Services.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1.Working knowledge of level of care criteria.
2.Working knowledge of regulatory agencies preferred.
3.Able to perform job related duties in a crisis and with several time constraints while respecting patient/related individuals dignity, and, emotionality while experiencing said crisis.
4.Possesses excellent positive written and verbal communication skill, flexibility, and a demonstrated team oriented focus that insures a collegial relationship with multiple disciplines.
5.Experience with computers, and, related software programs; i.e. Microsoft Office Suite .
6.Proficiency typing and data entry.
1.Bachelor's Degree preferred. Strong and relevant customer service backgrounds will also be considered.
2.Should be familiar with financial and information systems as well as a strong working knowledge of insurance companies, benefit plans, and other managed care systems.
