Job Summary:
HCA Healthcare Pathology Services is seeking a solo medical director that is board certified in anatomical and clinical pathology to be based at HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital.
Qualified Candidates:
Both AP and CP board certification required
Practicing experience required
Active Florida Medical License or eligible to obtain
Comfortable with the full scope of AP and CP for community hospital practice
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience building collaborative relationships with hospital staff and referring physicians.
Pathology Work Description:
Surgical volumes - approximately 2800 per year
Cytology
Procedures (frozen sections and ROSE) - 6-7 per week
Clinical Pathology
Peripheral smears
