The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Pathogen Sales/Technical Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Managing and growing sales within the US Pathogen platform

  • Deliver on financial and forecast expectations

  • Create business plan and manage Salesforce pipeline to exceed sales forecast

  • Conduct onsite technical evaluations, trainings, installs

  • Build customer relationships through industry events, visits

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide sales and technical direction and coaching with Food Safety US sales team

  • Joint customer visits/calls with field team to drive sales process

  • Collaborate with US and Global Technical team, provide VOC, competitive insights

  • Manage internal touchpoints (marketing, supply chain, lab, sales management, pricing)

  • Requires approximately 50% travel

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Three (3) years of food industry experience in a private, public, government or military environment

  • Current, Valid Driver's license is required, as you will be issued a company vehicle for this position

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Previous technical, lab environment experience in food industry

  • Strong business acumen

  • Demonstrate ability to analyze and execute on data

  • Experience working with team to drove mutual goal

  • Ability to quickly adapt in dynamic and fluid environment

  • Experience proven track record of meeting/ exceeding forecast attainment

  • Critical thinking, problem solving skills and a strong technical aptitude

  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office software programs

Location: This role will be remote within the US within proximity to a major airport.

Travel: May include up to 50% Domestic Travel

The Rheumatology Sales Specialist will drive disease awareness, initiation and usage of Novartis Rheumatology products. She/he will achieve targets for sales performance consistent with Novartis' compliance standards and market share and grow effective business relationships with customers (physicians, treating staff and other partners) that support delivery of business results. The Sales Specialist will initiate and support programs that make a difference to the lives of the patients we serve. The candidate will represent and promote Novartis as a leader in the Rheumatology community and market-place. He/she will work to ensure access to Novartis products within all compliance guidelines and develop disease state awareness education. As a Rheumatology Sales Specialist, you'll be required to support the Fort Worth, Texas and the surrounding areas which will include but not limited to Midland/Odessa, San Angelo, Abilene and Lubbock Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Business Ownership: Build disease awareness with key partners, proven understanding of treatment initiation processes, patient identification etc. Collaborate with stakeholders, internally and externally, on prior authorization, payor restrictions, reimbursement stipulations, and patient referrals to support patient access. * Territory Sales: Manage the sales budget and grow Rheumatology sales across the territory through development of impactful territory plan and engaging communications. Employ business planning and local market knowledge to develop sales and customer networks. * Account Selling: Grow relationships and communications with all partners and communities to develop solid understanding of treatment algorithm and business dynamics within accounts. Implement com-pliant and medically relevant programs to effect significant customer satisfaction and sales. * Training: Successfully complete all training and pre-certification requirements. What you'll bring to the role: * BA required. * 3 years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience or 2 years successful experience in a specialty pharmaceutical/biotech sales within the last 5 years * Previous Rheumatology experience highly preferred or experience selling biologic/specialty product(s) with a complex distribution pathway (specialty pharmacy, reimbursement specialists). * Must live in geography you support * Demonstrated ethical leadership and foster an environment that promotes ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and applicable laws. * Proven track record of consistent high performance * Shown success selling in a competitive marketplace * Strong ability to collaborate and demonstrate success working within cross functional teams, influencing without formal authority in a matrix environment Preferred Requirements * Study in Life Sciences, Pharmacy or Business related subject area. * Experience with launching Rheumatology, biologic, or other specialty product with a complex distribution path-way You'll receive: Competitive salary, annual bonus, long term incentive for select levels, health insurance, paid vacation/holidays, potential flexible working arrangements, subsidized dining facilities, employee recognition scheme.
