Radiance Technologies is a rapidly growing employee owned company supporting a wide range of defense programs. We are seeking talented, experienced engineer/scientists to support the continued advancement of passive sensor data analysis processes and techniques at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson AFB. Passive sensors that provide data to this process include panchromatic, thermal infrared, multi-spectral, and hyper-spectral sensor systems. Passive Sensors engineer/scientists support passive sensor data exploitation functions through the application of a strong understanding of passive sensor data phenomenologies to solve intelligence problems. They also assist with the development and improvement of techniques and procedures for the processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED) of data from spectral sensors and other GEOINT sensors as needed. Engineer/scientists in these positions will work collaboratively with other GEOINT and MASINT Engineers and Analysts within NASIC and across the community to develop advanced intelligence production processes.

Job Duties:

  • Utilize advanced GEOINT tools to exploit remotely sensed data

  • Apply an understanding of passive sensor phenomenology to the intelligence analysis process

  • Perform algorithm development for complex spectral data exploitation processes

  • Perform assignments both independently and in multi-dimensional development teams

  • Create and modify software tools for spectral data analysis and production as needed

  • Support the maintenance of government required documentation

  • Participate in government required training activities

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics or a related technical field

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance

  • Ability to work both independently and in an analytical team environment

  • Strong technical writing and briefing skills

Required Experience

  • 2 years of experience performing advanced exploitation of multiple passive sensor data types

This position will support research in the area of sensor development related to the selection of recognition elements (peptides and nucleic acids) using high throughput instrumentation and their integration in different sensor platforms. Experience in the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials and their use in assay development is required, as well as experience with handling biomaterials (DNA, RNA, etc.). Knowledge of techniques to select DNA and peptides recognition elements is beneficial, but not essential.
