Junior Passive Geolocation Operator- L1 ApprenticeAugusta, GAOPS Consulting is seeking qualified candidates that are looking for a challenge and interested in working in a team environment. This position is on a future contract and the majority of the work is rotating shifts in 90-day cycles. Candidates must be willing to work shift work and work in the Augusta, GA area. This work can provide a long and stable opportunity supporting our customer.
Description: The Apprentice Operator- Passive (AO-P) shall perform 24/7 operational support to the government by performing tasks required to search, detect, identify, intercept, and locate signals of interest using the most appropriate sensor and passive geolocation technique available.
Required Experience:- Minimum 2 yrs. operational experience, within the the last 5-years with DoD customer, a Service Cryptologic Element, or another Government intelligence agency (as an employee or as a contractor).
Minimally Acceptable: - Experience conducting RF collection and/or Direction Finding (DF) operations.
Highly Desired Experience: The following certifications and experience are highly desired:CERTIFICATIONS Geolocation Qualification Course
SCE Collection Operator Certification TECHNOLOGIES:- Real-time RF COMINT collection (Airborne, Space borne, Terrestrial, NTM)
- Manual, automatic, and/or synthetic Time/Frequency Difference of Arrival (T/FDOA) geolocation operations of COMINT emitters
- Multi-aperture Direction Finding
LANGUAGES: Formal training and/or demonstrated proficiency as a linguist in one of the following languages is highly desired:
Arabic- Levantine (AP) Arabic- Yemeni (AU) Arabic- IRAQI (DG) Arabic- Maghrabi (AM) Persian Farsi (PF) Pashto (PU) Russian (RU) Chinese- Mandarin (CM) Korean (KO) Chechen (CE)• Somali (SM)
