Job Description:

A Party Planner Sales Specialist is a passionate party enthusiast who helps customers create memorable events, while driving in-store sales. The Party Planner Sales Specialist is also responsible for merchandising a portion of the sales floor to ensure presentation meets company standards.

Party Planner Responsibilities -- 70%:

  • Utilize selling skills, product knowledge and technology to inspire customers to purchase all of their party needs.

  • Engage with customers to build relationships, identify party needs and offer creative ideas to increase sales.

  • Utilize industry publications and social media to identify and translate entertaining trends to create unique and inspiring events for customers.

  • Assist the customer throughout the planning process, which includes follow-up to the shopping experience and to the event itself, to build brand loyalty and repeat business.

Merchandising Responsibilities -- 30%:

  • Ensure that the store's merchandise presentation and inventory management achieve company standards.

  • Merchandise designated area of store to company Plan-O-Gram direction

  • Coordinate store signage and pricing (labels) for designated area

  • Performs top stock management for inventory replenishment

  • Address sales floor inventory levels through cycle counts of designated areas

  • Merchandise instore merchandising to address NOP and maximize presentation

  • Coordinate completion of company directed operations tasks (app task sign off)

  • Adheres to all standard operating procedures, policies and Best Methods

Knowledgeable: Strong knowledge of the party business, related products, industry trends and experience hosting/coordinating parties and events. Utilizes a variety of methods, including technology to develop ideas to enhance the customer's shopping experience.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends & holidays

  • 1-2 year sales, customer service, party planning or event experience (e.g., wedding planning, sales associate in retail store, telesales, etc.)

  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Demonstrates a passion for guest service and a competency for selling

  • Creative thinker with a passionate for planning parties / events

  • Ability to troubleshoot, work independently and as part of a team

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
