Chariton Valley Association is seeking part-time Direct Support Professional staff for weekend shifts. Direct Support Professionals (DSP) assist individuals with disabilities by providing a range of services including community integration, self-help skills, some general nursing care, and overall daily living.
Employees will receive paid training and certification in medication administration, CPR, First Aid, and more. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone seeking field experience in health care, mental health human services or the non-profit sector. Qualified candidates will be at least 18 years of age or older, posses a high school diploma or GED, be able to physically pull, push or lift 15-20 pounds on a daily basis and have a strong interest in helping others succeed and a caring disposition.
