Overview

This program specializes in serving women referred by the Department of Developmental Disabilities who have intellectual disabilities, as well as psychiatric diagnosis and/or eating disorders. This service combines a five-person residential home with several single apartments and is staffed 24 hours a day. The treatment focus is on mental health stabilization, community inclusion, job development, and relationship development and maintenance. Our agency provides excellent supervision (both individual and group), as well as various trainings in which to obtain CEU's, and opportunities for advancement. Our agency is an eligible employer for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program and provides tuition reimbursement for continuing education.

Responsibilities

Residential Counselors provide support, guidance, advocacy, case management, and empowerment to the adults served in this community residential setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Social Services related field preferred

  • Experience and/or internship with intellectually disabled adults

  • Bilingual English/Spanish and/or bi-cultural preferred

  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

The focus of this service is mental health stabilization, community inclusion, job development, and relationship development and maintenance. Individuals in the program are referred by the Department of Developmental Services. Responsibilities Awake overnight counselors provide support to individuals who live in the program. Eligible candidate must have the ability to remain awake and alert during the overnight shift. Awake overnights are responsible for providing a safe, secure environment for the individuals we provide services to. Awake overnights may do some basic housekeeping, filing, medication counts, and may administer medications. Awake overnights need to be alert and able to respond to any issues that may arise. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a Social Services related field preferred, and/or experience or internship with population. Ability to be MAP (medication) certified. Eligible candidates must be at least 18year's of age with a current, valid driver's license and a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Candidate must demonstrate competency with Microsoft Word.
