The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, Rutgers University invites applications for a Part-Time Lecturer (PTL) teaching positions in the Department of Clinical Psychology during the 2019 Summer session (July 1 July 30, 2019)The position entails traveling to the Dominican Republic to oversee a summer practicum elective with two advanced GSAPP doctoral students in collaboration with PUCMM, RWJMS and Barnabas Health. doctoral level courses in the Department of Clinical Psychology, GSAPP. Candidates will assume primary responsibility for overseeing the practicum elective, collaborate with PUCMM, RWJMS and Barnabas Health colleagues and students, supervise clinical work and presenting high quality lectures, discussions and other teaching activities, and evaluating students based on course expectations and program-wide competencies. PTLs are expected to adhere to high quality instructional practices that integrate multiple modalities and approaches, such as whole class lecture, small group activities, videos, role playing etc.
The PTL must have a valid passport, be able to travel to the Dominican Republic from approximately July 12-28, 2019. Dates may change, but will be within that range.
Availability for cultural and international psychology training in July is required. As the pilot global health initiative trip, GSAPP will cover travel expenses (airfare, meals, transportation, lodging) for the trip and the PTL will be paid the equivalent of a 3-credit stipend.
