As a Housekeeping Associate, the employee participates in and oversees a variety of janitorial, custodial, and/or security tasks to maintain clean and safe buildings and grounds. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Hours are typically 20 hours per week.
Cleans and services restrooms
Sweeps, vacuums, mops floors and shampoo carpet.
Gathers and disposes of rubbish and waste materials by hand
Makes rounds of buildings and grounds at regular intervals
Observes appearance and conditions of premises and equipment
Reports needed repairs and safety hazards
Dust such items as blinds, furniture, file cabinets, and windowsills using treated dust mittens, clothes, or hand cleaning items.
Polishes furniture, metalwork, and chrome using appropriate cleaning and polishing compounds.
Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, mirrors, and fixtures using stepladders.
Cleans grounds and parking lots of litter, glass, or other debris
Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment used to clean buildings and furniture.
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules and proper use of chemicals.
Ability to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies such as floor cleaning equipment.
Knowledge of building and property security procedures
Ability to work a flexible schedule, work independently and follow instructions.
Good written and verbal communications
The job duties require an employee to bend, reach, stand and walk for extended periods.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be evaluated on an individual basis.
$10.00 to $12.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
