Job Title: Part-Time Graphic Designer
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports To: Marketing Manager
The Part-Time Graphic Designer must be an innovative thinker who is looking for an opportunity to grow and develop artistic, professional, and organizational skills. Primary responsibilities will include tasks such as online banners and ads, digital and printed materials, event promotions, print packaging, building and maintaining production-ready files for all print and electronic collateral (four-color, web, and many digital mediums) and getting clean and correct files out the door on time, all the time.
Additional design tasks may include: website content, email design and development, promotional design, presentation development, and interactive environments. This is your opportunity to take your creative talent to the next level!
The Part-Time Graphic Designer position has the potential to become a full-time position with benefits.
Ability to execute effective visual solutions through written descriptions
Editing/repurposing current art/sales collateral for use at our properties
Maintaining brand standards across all design work
Produce fun and creative new art for a variety of platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, email, web, and print
Utilize strong written/grammar skills to edit/revise/proofread copy
Support on-site teams by communicating and providing them with the assets they need by the deadlines requested
Prioritize importance of projects in our fast-paced marketing environment
Stay on the pulse of current design trends and constantly push the creative envelope you're designing for college students!
Key Characteristics for a successful Part-Time Graphic Designer:
Excellent eye for design, colors, and basic knowledge of design principals/hierarchy
Working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
Must be open to constructive criticism and feedback
Able to take direction and problem solve with little supervision
Ability to produce excellent work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Be adaptable to changing circumstances and ability think on your feet

Has a degree in Graphic Design, fine art, or related field.
