  • Deliver personalized customer service and the type of genuine care expected from your neighbor.

  • Tackle a variety of financial transactions ranging from check cashing to cash depositing to loan payments to counting currency and coin accurately.

  • Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature (i.e. cash handling) where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.

  • Hold financial conversations with clients and prospects to cross-sell other bank services and refer customers to other departments, as appropriate.

  • Be knowledgeable of products, fees and policies and stay current on offerings -- ability to make product suggestions, with assistance.

  • Answer customer questions with a can-do attitude, no matter how complex or technical (and they are frequently both complex and technical).

  • Constantly look for ways to "WOW" customers and community members alike through all of life's changes.

  • Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position, and keep up to date on regulation changes.

  • Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations that apply to your position.


  • 1+ year(s) cash handling experience, and a track record of outstanding customer service

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to proficiently preform a wide variety of tasks.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, 10-key, and a variety of office equipment, knowledge of Excel software applications

  • Demonstrated sales skills, a plus

  • High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Position Summary Under the supervision of the Resource and Referral (R&R) Director, the R&R Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of Child Care Resource and Referral Program and staff to meet the goals and objectives set by the Director. The supervisor performs a variety of specialized tasks including client outreach and education. Key Areas of Responsibilities and Duties The duties of this position are those described below. This job description does not state or imply that the duties listed are the only duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Employees holding this position will be required to perform any other job-related duties as requested by management. Child Care and Family Resources (25%) * Provide child care information and referrals for families to licensed child care facilities over the phone and in person. Must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the varied child care options available to families in Amador and Calaveras Counties. * Provide information on child care subsidy options available to families. Identify families who are eligible for subsidized child care and enter on the Childcare Eligibility List (CEL). * Advocate for the needs of the families we serve, as well as serve as a liaison between families and community resources. * Oversees the dissemination of child care information to the public. Development of Child Care Profession (40%) * Develop and submit annual Child Care Initiative Project Plan to Director for approval and implement and/or supervise the recruitment and training plan for county/counties assigned. * Provide outreach and technical assistance to child care providers including information about starting and maintaining a child care business, child development issues, parenting issues, regulations, licensing, zoning, and public policy that affects child care. * Provide outreach, orientation, and ongoing support and training for license exempt providers, ensuring TrustLine procedures are consistently implemented. * Develop and submit workshop and training proposals for child care professionals including family child care providers, center staff, and exempt provider to the Director for approval. * Conduct and/or supervise workshops and trainings in group and home visiting settings. * Conduct pre and post licensing visits to potential licensed child care providers. * Promote and provide oversight of special projects and incentive programs. Collaboration, Education and Outreach (20%) * Collaborate with all Resource Connection programs, community groups, educational resources, business and government agencies to represent the Resource Connection Child Care Resource and Referral Program and promote the expansion of quality child care services. * Provide community education and outreach on a variety of topics such as child care issues, child development, and legislation. * Develop an annual outreach plan based on program priorities and document outcomes. * Work in conjunction with team members to ensure the maintenance of outreach materials Supervision and Planning (15%) * Maintain R&R procedures consistent with funding requirements as well as federal, state, and local regulations. * Supervise and evaluate R&R staff, conduct performance evaluations, coach and facilitate professional development goals * Collect data, maintain records, and prepare timely reports for internal and external use. * Participate in an annual review of all R&R programs using appropriate assessment tools and work with Director to develop a plan to respond to any findings. Qualifications Education/Experience * BA in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development or related field with a minimum of 24 units in ECE and two years of experience working in child care and development OR AA Degree in ECE or related field with 3 years of experience working in child care and development * Two years of experience in a supervisory position * Demonstrated knowledge of child care resource and referral, child care licensing, and adult learning practices Skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to make presentations to large and small groups * Ability to assess needs, learn quickly, demonstrate mature judgment, set goals and objectives, accept challenges, and work effectively in a team setting * Problem solve using critical thinking, gather and analyze data; make concise, accurate reports and recommendations; ability to carry ideas into action * Ability to work with a variety of people from different socio-economic backgrounds, demonstrate a positive attitude, and develop relationships with staff and child care professionals Special Requirements * Knowledge of the needs and issues facing rural families and familiarity with community resources * Meet the public and represent the Resource Connection in a professional manner * Meet deadlines and work under tight time schedules with minimal supervision * Willingness to work a flexible schedule with irregular hours (evenings/weekends), attend night meetings, and travel as required by the organization * Valid California driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance coverage * Criminal record clearance Physical Demands The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
