The Valdosta Campus of Georgia Military College is accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Academic Affairs Assistant. The Part-Time Academic Affairs Assistant performs various clerical duties in support of the Office of Academic Affairs which includes the Advising Center. The Part-Time Academic Affairs Assistant reports directly to the Academic Dean.
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
Assists students with information regarding academic affairs issues.
Assists in processing incoming mail for Academic Affairs offices.
Assists in performing data entry and collection of quarterly statistics, such as enrollment data, etc.
Assists with administrative needs of Academic Affairs offices such as preparation of instructor evaluation paperwork, distribution of course registration materials, coordinating room assignments and equipment usage.
Assists in organizing and setup with graduation ceremonies.
Assist with academic affairs payroll and human resource procedures.
Assist in scheduling and appointments for Academic Dean.
Assists in maintaining campus inventory lists and perform monthly/quarterly checks as required for instructional/academic affairs spaces (classrooms, laboratories, etc.) for required instructional equipment and supplies.
Assists in performing the procurement procedures for obtaining supplies and resources associated with Academic Affairs.
Assists in organizing, manage, and distribute the quarterly academic services schedule for tutoring and computer access.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skill in utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, internet applications, Datatel, and copiers.
Skill in event planning areas, such as interacting with service vendors (caterers, photographers, etc.)
