Position Purpose:
This job requires strong computer and customer service skills in conjunction with a solid knowledge base of construction equipment, aggregate crushing, screening and conveying equipment. Our candidate will have the desire to deliver the best customer support possible to both internal and external customers, and has the ability to stay calm during stressful high-call volume situations.
Essential Job Functions:
Works with existing Parts team in answering incoming calls, attending to parts orders, assisting customers, and seeks opportunities to promote additional sales
Utilizes online and offline catalogs, software programs, and other resources as needed to determine the correct parts for the customer
Keep a "Quick Reference" guide for all common parts; this helps aid in assisting customers as quickly and efficiently as possible
Accurately identifies the correct part numbers, promptly completes each sale, recommends additional needed items, extends upselling when possible, and confirms with the customer the
desired freight options and cost
Works closely with Product Support Representative and assists with parts proposals and invoicing transactions
Professionally handles customer complaints in a courteous manner and alerts management when additional action is needed
Assist the service department with parts needs and provides support as needed
Assists in the pickup and delivery of parts and supplies as needed
Assists in all aspects of parts inventory control including the annual parts inventory
Participates in the 24-hour on-call support for any urgent parts needs when required
Has a can-do attitude and contributes to the success of the Power Equipment Company team
Strives to continually increase personal product knowledge and participates in dealer or manufacturer training events
Strives to deliver the best customer support experience possible to all Power Equipment Company customers
Actively supports safety policy, goals, and objectives plus uses sound environmental practices
Performs other duties as assigned by the parts manager
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma
Previous' experience in dealership parts counter and/or inventory management
Should have knowledge of construction equipment and aggregate crushing, screening, and conveying equipment
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient utilizing computers including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Internet Explorer and general laptop or desktop computer use
Should have strong knowledge of inventory control software and DMS type systems
Physical Demands:
This position regularly requires the employee to sit
Ability to occasionally lift up to 60 pounds and work inside and outdoors in various climate and temperatures
Ability to operate a forklift safely and obtain operator certification
Work Environment:
be worn as required.
Selected candidate must pass pre-employment background check including MVR, post-offer drug screen and WorkSTEPs physical
A very clean MVR is required to meet company and insurance requirement
Must complete MSHA, First Aid, and CPR training as required
