O'Reilly is now hiring Retail Counter Sales team members. Our sales team members are responsible for providing our retail and installer customers with a high level of service. They also support management in the accomplishment of all assigned tasks, including maintaining inventory control, store appearance, and customer relations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greet and advise customers in selection of products and their uses

  • Process customer returns and resolve customer complaints

  • Assist with inventory and processing of incoming stock

  • Perform value added services, i.e., test batteries, carry merchandise to customer cars, install wipers, etc.

  • Handle cash and credit card transactions while properly maintaining a cash drawer

Qualifications:

  • Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service

  • Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences

  • Must be able to multitask

  • Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, and automotive sales or service is desired but not required

  • ASE certification preferred

The Parts Manager's primary function is to manage the Parts Center and order management and material planning functions. The responsibilities include ensuring an adequate, on-hand supply of parts to meet customer and service needs, managing direct sales to customers, maintaining the Parts Center inventory, continually growing Parts customer base and establishing selling prices for parts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Supervises the sale of direct parts to customers based on telephone, fax, email and mail orders * Manages and adjusts the parts inventory (including returns) to maintain adequate stocking levels to meet customer demand based on historic sales * Prioritizes customer orders and requests * Oversees the processing, scheduling and releasing of all customer parts orders * Supervises the processing, scheduling and releasing of all service parts (shop orders) * Expedites emergency or high priority parts requests as well as the fulfillment of back orders * Establishes, monitors and evaluates the selling prices of parts * Manages preparation of invoices and credit memos, maintains distributor files and performs-related administrative tasks * Provides technical assistance to customers on parts and related issues * Serves as a company liaison with parts customers to increase the company's visibility, enhance its image as a highly-responsive supplier, and exchange information regarding parts availability, pricing and application * Monitors parts returned to the branch for proper credit and associated stocking fees * Monitors freight charges for customer orders * Assures prompt delivery to the customer of parts from inventory * Reacts immediately to returning incorrect/defective parts to suppliers for replacement or credit * Assumes responsibility for all assigned Company resources and assets * Performs other job-related duties as assigned Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience:. * Knowledge of company's products, components, and related parts * Knowledge of customers' and distributors' needs * Knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures * Knowledge of basic accounting procedures related to inventory management * Knowledge of Microsoft Office software * Skill with communicating of internal personnel, vendors and customers * Skill in verbal communication coupled with the ability to interpret and explain parts information, for the most part, by telephone * Ability to analyze and solve parts-related problems to insure a balance between the Company's objectives and the needs of the customers, distributors and others * Ability to maintain a positive approach during interactions and negotiations with customers to provide support, enhance company's image and help sell products and services Wabash National Trailer Centers Columbus OH
