Ensuring proper operations procedures are followed in receiving, storing and issuing of equipment, materials and supplies. Responsible for data entry of transactions to the inventory account system. Responsible for the security of the stock room while on duty. Performs various SAP administrative tasks. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performs physical receiving of stock and non-stock parts and enters in SAP.
Count, sort, weigh, measure incoming materials to verify accurate quantities received in accordance with purchase orders and communicate with the Receiving Department for verification.
Examine incoming material for conformity to specifications as indicated on purchase orders.
Ensure proper operational procedures are followed in receiving, storing and issuing of equipment, material and supplies.
Conduct daily inventory audits in accordance with SAP / MRP rules to verify adequate supplies of materials and communicate results and deficiencies.
Organize and maintain inventory list of non stock inventory items.
Inventory and maintain grab stock inventories.
Communicate with vendors for quotations, invoices and parts research,
Responsible for creating and documenting identification labels for parts.
Ensure all parts issue tickets are properly completed with quantity requested, material description, work order / cost center information and date and time of recipient.
Creates standard framework and service purchase requisitions in SAP.
Creates and maintains reports as required to track dept. spending as well as capital projects.
Processes (TECOs) completed preventative maintenance, work cards and notifications. Enters time confirmations.
Performs additional duties similar in nature and level of responsibility as needed with duties listed above.
Maintains cleanliness of work and parts storage areas.
Be able to satisfactorily work within team-environment and effectively be able to interface with all levels of company personnel (office/production/maintenance/management)
Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
Must possess and maintain a valid license / certification to operate applicable heavy equipment including boom, scissor lift and fork lift.
Speech and hearing abilities that allow the individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English (in person and via telephone)
Ability to generate written communication.
Must have good customer service skills
Physically capable of rapid, unimpeded movement.
Ability to climb fixed and portable ladders.
Ability to view product for proper size and color.
Ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis, working required shift and overtime
Must be computer literate with a proficiency in MS Word and Excel and able to use proprietary software product (SAP)
Must be able to read inventory reports and recognize / analyze discrepancies.
Ability to read, comprehend and practice necessary safety procedures, signs, etc.
Must have ability to wear approved applicable safety equipment as needed.
Must be detail oriented.
High school / GED Certificate with 2 3 years of previous related work experience required.
2 or 4 year College degree and / or trade school certification preferred.
Previous Industrial / manufacturing parts room experience is a plus.
