The Parts Room Coordinator position will provide support to the maintenance and departmental functions by ensuring the centralized parts room and plant departments are stocked and maintained with essential materials and parts to support preventative maintenance initiatives, and when necessary, expedite purchase requisitions to prevent downtime.
Tasks & Duties: 1. Maintains organized stock room inventory by physical count and adjusting inventory based on min/max levels, usage history and obsolete parts information. 2. Orders parts and supplies as determined by inventory levels and work order requests. 3.
Works with other departments to research and purchase supplies as needed. 4. Upon receiving parts ensures the parts are stored in proper locations and inventory is adjusted. 5. Adjusts Max and Min levels for parts from usage history. 6.
Performs physical counts of inventory in stockroom. 7. Works with Planner/Scheduler to kit parts for maintenance work. 8.
Maintains materials in PM carts. 9.
Works with vendor to maintain stock levels in CAP system. 10. Provides stock room metric reports (cycle count variance, inventory turns, service level) 11. Based on work orders, orders materials and/or parts and organizes in designated area for Maintenance Technician to complete work assignment without delay. 12.
Assists Maintenance Technicians as requested by Reliability Coordinator. 13. Performs other duties to assist maintenance team as required. 14. Performs other duties assigned by Reliability Manager and Planner Scheduler 15.
Completes Training as scheduled by Reliability Manager. 16.
Perform all duties according to established safety policy, including wearing all required PPEs to perform duties. 17. This position will help keep department in specs within all 5S and SQF guidelines, and immediately report any food safety concerns to management. 18.
Willing to work flexible hours as necessary. Skills & Competencies: 1. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance and determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. 2.
Previous experience with purchasing requirements. 3. Must be well organized and disciplined. 4. Must have previous experience working with iMaint or CMMS. 5.
Must have previous knowledge of repair parts including but not limited to bearings, pulleys, sprockets, chains, rollers, belts, hoses, and electrical components. 6. Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings. 7. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. 8.
Must be able to communicate with all staff providing information to supervisors, co-workers in written form, e-mail, or in person. 9. Ability to operate a lift truck. 10. Computer proficient including ability to research order information with vendors. 11.
Good attendance record. 12. Good mathematical skills. 13. Ability to work in a team environment.
Physical Requirements: 1. Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs, moving body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. 2. Use of power equipment/tools.
Education & Experience: 1. Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED. 2. 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in work-related environment. 3. Previous training and/ or experience with iMaint or equivalent CMMS required.
Employment Conditions: 1. Must complete cGMP training and Departmental QOP training. 2. Must pass Company pre-employment testing.
