Perform all duties adhering to Cummins Safety Policies and Procedures

Provide excellent internal and external customer support encompassing "Customer Support Excellence" philosophy and standards

Receive and store parts

Maintain parts records in the computer database

Assist in the physical inventory of stock

Accurately assemble customer orders from stock

Place orders on pallets/shelves or convey orders to packing station/shipping area

Package, ship, and receive parts

Pick up/Delivery of parts

Transport customers to/from shop

Provide courteous and effective customer phone support

Participation in actively maintaining a clean and safe work area

Other duties as assigned

Must have valid Drivers license with good driving record

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment

Strong computer and keyboard skills to complete work (i.e. parts look up, invoicing, etc.)

Demonstrated organizational and time management skills

Willingness to learn from co-workers and train new team members as necessary


Able to contribute to system improvement process

Commitment to task and results oriented

Strong commitment to safety


Excellent communication skills (active listening, writing, speaking & telephone skills)

Ability to work through conflict and use effective problem solving techniques

Ability to develop & maintain effective working relationships with customers and co-workers

Willingness to learn from co-workers and train new team members as necessary

Requires ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds often and up to 50 pounds on occasion using proper lifting tools/techniques

Tasks will require bending, stretching, standing, twisting, and climbing up and down equipment throughout the work shift

Position requires wearing appropriate PPE at all times in work areas
1st shift schedule 8:00am -4:30pm

In this role, you will be required to provide timely quotations to customers and close sales. The successful candidate will support all aspects of parts sales from sales prospecting, to final delivery to and acceptance by the customer. Responsibilities Include: * The candidate will show a high level of enthusiasm and energy to resolve parts requests effectively and promote strong customer relationships. * The candidate will deliver and explain quotes to the customer, ask for and close the sale. * The candidate will enter orders into SAP, accurately interpreting customer requirements. * The candidate will create and enter materials and bills of material into SAP as needed. * The candidate will track and expedite in-house orders. * The candidate will resolve invoice disputes with customer and/or finance as needed. * The candidate will carry the 24-hour emergency parts cell phone as needed. Qualifications: * BS in Marketing, Business, Industrial technology, or 2+ years of general customer service/sales experience in industrial equipment or technical field. * 2+ years of experience resolving customer complaints and collections. * Knowledge of motors and generators, power generation systems, petro-chemical operations systems, paper, and other general industry systems. * Demonstrated sense of urgency to affect timely response and resolution to customer requests. * Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and proven ability to effectively deal with difficult customers. * Demonstrated ability to keep multiple tasks and activities coordinated, prioritized, documented, and in motion or progress at one time. * Demonstrated capability for social interface with internal and external customers as required, achieving customer satisfaction excellence. * Computer literate with knowledge of current operating systems and software common to business applications including; SAP, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. * Physical ability to travel freely within manufacturing and office facilities. * This requires climbing stairs and moving over, around, and about shop machinery and in-process apparatus in a safe manner. * Physical ability to climb a ladder and safely maneuver archived engineering files. * Physical ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.
