The Parts Manager oversees the parts department and employees and returns a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory.

  • Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the parts department based on Retail, Wholesale, and Customer-Pay (Repair Order) sales.

  • Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts, and the do-it-yourself public.

  • Establish pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty.

  • Establish individual parts inventory levels and balance them for maximum turnover.

  • Monitor and adjust Days' Supply for critical and fast-moving parts' categories and numbers.

  • Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence

  • Maintain Inventory Aging guidelines

  • Direct shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing

  • Manage the parts inventory and track expenses

  • Work with the service manager and shop foreman to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.

  • Continue to maintain Asbury's value, quality, and integrity

  • Strong customer service skills are a must

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required

  • Experience with CDK or Reynolds is a plus

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience as an Automotive Parts Employee

  • Previous Automotive Parts Management experience required

  • Must be able to manage in a fast-paced work environment

  • Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test)
