Parts Department Team Member

Fox Motors has a Parts Department Team member position opening in Grand Rapids, MI at Fox Powersports. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Parts Department Team member is a trusted expert that plays an active role in the parts department's success. As a Parts Department Team member, you are responsible for assisting and selling parts to all customers, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone. Key responsibilities include the following. Others may be assigned.

• Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.

• Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.

• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.

• Follows up on back-ordered parts.

• Ensures that all charge sales are signed by the customer.

• Issues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.

• Keeps current on new products and product updates.

• Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs

• Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays

• Assists in keeping parts department clean and orderly

• Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager

Requirements

• At least 1 year experience working in parts department operations

• Experience with electronic parts catalogs

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Proven, excellent customer relationship skills

• Ability to write and speak effectively

• Able to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and internet functions

• Clean driving record
