The Parts Department Inventory Specialist accepts delivery for incoming materials for distribution and provides the necessary documentation for receiving. He or she must recognize the flow of incoming and outgoing materials necessary to meet productivity goals and ensure the stable flow of materials in the supply chain and properly inventory and store materials for easy access.

The ideal candidate is at least 18 years old and has the physical stamina to perform the duties of this job. A high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in a warehouse environment are preferred. A forklift license is a plus. We are looking for a team player who can work in a fast-paced and challenging environment and who is willing to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives, deliveries and stock and verifies accuracy of the delivery against invoice

  • Moves stock from receiving area to appropriate storage area

  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards

  • Follows all safety policies and procedures

  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required

  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • One year of relevant experience preferred

  • Forklift license (or willing to obtain license)

  • Highly professional and dependable

  • Able to follow spoken and written instructions

  • Basic computer and internet skills

  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed

Job Description: Full-time, year-round position to assist in providing clerical and office management support, special events, publications, news releases, etc., in the Community Relations and Marketing Department. Duties and Responsibilities: * Exhibits good communication skills and cooperation with all college staff. Maintains friendly, courteous attitude to all SFSC staff, trustees, community resources, students, and potential students. * Provides clerical and office management support in the Community Relations and Marketing Department, including, but not limited to: acting as receptionist for the department, processing mail, requisitioning equipment and supplies, processing college forms, and maintaining proper storage of same. Works closely with the director, providing secretarial support as needed. * Provides assistance to college departments in processing requests for various printing needs, such as forms, business cards and plaques. * Assists in the preparation and set up of all college special events--receptions, ceremonies, meetings, and other functions. * Informs college staff, students, and the college community of college events by proofreading, preparing, and distributing the SFSC Calendar of Events, news releases, and other materials; posts information on the college's electronic marquee, website, and social media outlets. * Keeps track of office supplies and is responsible for requisitioning equipment and supplies as necessary. Works closely with accounts payable department regarding the processing of purchasing documents and billings. * Preserves current news items from newspapers and other publications. Organizes and copies the clipped items for the college archives and the college website. Organizes and boxes other miscellaneous printed materials stored as college archives. * Maintains a supply of brochures describing various college courses, programs, and activities; distributes or mails brochures and flyers as the need arises. * Contributes to unit planning, assessment, and college institutional effectiveness efforts. * Acts in accordance with college policies and procedures. * Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: Educational: Associate degree (or equivalency) preferred Experiential: Minimum of three years of related clerical work experience required. Experience in an educational institution or public relations/marketing department preferred. Other: Exceptional computer skills, including word processing required. Ability to proofread and type proficiently required. Experience using various social media and desktop publishing a plus. Knowledge of Wordpress and AP Style preferred.
