Job Summary

Vermeer Southeast has served the Southeast for over 45 years with equipment, parts, service and solutions for the underground construction market and the tree care industry.

Vermeer Southeast is currently seeking an individual for Jacksonville, FL store to provide exceptional customer service through the selling of parts and available dealership services using applicable marketing/sales strategies. Assists in inventory management.

Customer Satisfaction

Build & maintain customer relationships. Interact with all contacts in a caring, professional, courteous and timely manner. Provide needed parts solutions to enhance customer equipment. Make quotes for price & availability to internal & external customers.

Inventory Maintenance

Assist in analyzing existing inventory levels, customer demand & market share trends to maintain a profitable inventory balance. Assist with returns and warranty issues, including filing & tracking claims and ensuring proper credit is given to dealership. Assist in stocking shelves, cabinets & displays. May assist with shipping/receiving and may load or unload equipment.

Marketing/Sales

Market dealership products & services by soliciting customers through applicable sales strategies. Call on potential & existing customers for the purpose of increasing customer base, maintaining current customers & increasing sales.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent. College degree a plus.

  • Experience in parts operations and selling a plus.

  • Forklift certification a plus.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to understand read and follow verbal and written instructions.

  • General knowledge of blueprints, hydraulic and electrical schematics and of hydrostatic and electrical systems.

  • Must be able to multi-task and be detailed orientated with demonstrated follow through and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated customer service skills.

  • Possess typing and basic computer skills.

  • Must have a valid Driver's License.

  • Knowledge of industry and knowledge of parts and inventory control systems helpful.

  • Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to equipment operation.
