This position is an early-stage Inside Sales career opportunity that may lead to other positions with the company - such as outside sales, marketing, sourcing, operations, and eventually into management and leadership. This position is a member of our customer service team in Chicago, IL. The primary responsibility of this position is to sell goods and provide in-person customer service while utilizing parts knowledge to assist retail customers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Greet and advise customers on the selection of products and their uses both in person and over the phone.
Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability, and product features.
Sell goods to retail customers to support the overall goal of sustained growth.
Develop in-person, over the phone, and computer-based customer service relationships.
Continually grow technical, product, and application knowledge of parts essential to the heavy-duty vehicle aftermarket.
Suggest sale of related parts when identical replacements are not available.
Effectively communicate features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers.
Keep current on new products and product updates and answer customer questions.
Conduct inbound and outbound phone calls.
Learn all facets of the heavy-duty truck and trailer parts industry.
Pull and prepare orders for customer pick up or delivery, as needed.
Assist with inventory processing of incoming stock, as needed.
Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma (GED) - Required
Bachelor's Degree
Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service
Basic computer and math skills
Ability to obtain a Chauffeur's License
Ability to pass a DOT Medical Exam, if needed (company paid)
Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), if needed (company paid)
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs frequently.
Must be able to lift up to 75lbs occasionally.
Must be able to lift up to 100lbs during team lifts, infrequently.
