Need someone who is mechanically inclined and not necessarily so much a bunch of retail "parts" experience. This position will start out working in the service department getting hands-on experience with the various installations and different "jobs" within the service department. The purpose of this position is to fill the needs of the service department much more so than any sort of retail type sales.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Selling products and/or services to meet customer's needs.
Assisting in maintaining a clean and orderly workplace.
Maintaining retail sales floor and displays to meet or exceed standards.
Performing routine housekeeping tasks that maintain and enhance the cleanliness of retail sales area.
Following prescribed cash, credit and/or check processing procedures.
Using equipment, ex: company vehicle(s), forklift, overhead crane, etc., and resources safely and proficiently.
Verifying receiving documents.
Various tasks as assigned by Parts Manager and/or members of management team.
Typical work week is Monday-Friday 7: 30am-5pm.
Salary range for this position is $12-14+/Hour depending on experience.
Previous parts counter experience preferred
Some experience as a mechanic / install technician is helpful but not required.
Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
Knowledge of general mechanic processes and methods.
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
Good physical condition with ability to lift up to 75 pounds and ability to stand for prolonged periods of time as needed.
Proficient in reading a tape measure.
MUST have a valid drivers' license
