Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist customers that want to buy parts and processing the final sales transaction.

Core Responsibilities

  • Find the part number, if necessary, for a parts request using electronic catalogs, books, or microfiche

  • Make a part number inquiry into the parts inventory for the requested part

  • Invoice the customer for the part charging the correct price, tax, and miscellaneous charges

  • Collect the funds for the invoice or make sure the cashier receives payment prior to issuing the part

  • If the part is not in inventory, locate the part from an approved outside source or give the request to the parts manager to locate

  • Follow the parts department procedures for tracking lost sales

  • Complete a special-order part request for any parts that need to be ordered

  • Assist the back counterperson or stocking clerk as necessary

  • Learn any new computer updates that affect the parts invoicing/inventory system

  • Notify customers when special order parts arrive

  • Adhere to all dealership safety standards

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Education or equivalent

  • 3-5 years parts department experience

  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving record

  • Previous inventory management or related management experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good interpersonal, time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to identify and achieve targeted goals

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to understand verbal and written instructions and warning labels

  • Ability to work well with a range of individuals

  • Ability to prioritize multiple jobs

  • Ability to clearly communicate with customers and coworkers alike to ensure an excellent customer experience

  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team

  • Ability to effectively respond to inbound and outbound phone calls

  • Strong attention to detail, professional demeanor, and a positive 'can do' attitude

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear

  • The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch

  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally required to lift 50 to 100 lbs with proper assistance

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision

  • Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol urinalysis and be able to drive a vehicle

Working Conditions

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Travel Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to travel within or outside the area. Travel for this position is infrequent.

The Financial Advisor Development Program If you are passionate about helping customers, building long lasting relationships and have a strong interest in pursuing a career in the financial industry, this could be the program for you! * The program is a 24-36 month rotational program that equips participants with foundational knowledge and skills as they experience multiple roles within our Chase branch organization. * You begin by studying and obtaining all the required licenses needed to be a Financial Advisor. Complete the Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, attain the Series 7, and 66 licenses, and the appropriate state Insurance Licenses. * You become a Relationship Banker in the second phase, then advance to Private Client Banker in the third phase and ultimately graduate the program and fulfill your goal of becoming a Financial Advisor with a Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation. * The rotations through our bank enable you to develop a solid understanding of both Chase Wealth Management and Chase Consumer banking, allowing you an accelerated launch into your career as a Financial Advisor.
