Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Shop Manager, the parts person performs parts pick up, assists in delivery and pickup of small equipment. Assists with distribution of street stock, safety gear and other miscellaneous supplies.

Requirements

  • Ensures parts department cleanliness and maintenance on a regular basis

  • Processes and keeps track of parts that have been ordered

  • Performs clean up duties to shop, shop vehicles, spare vehicles and parts room, which includes but is not limited to, taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping

  • Operates computer to document repair parts are charged t ocorrect repair orders ona daily basis; may be required to perform spot inventory

  • Monitor on a regular, daily basis items and help maintain stock of quick moving items

  • Maintain good communication

  • Respond to off-site requests for assistance

  • Holds safety as a high priority and reports all safety-related issues at any location that maintenance is being performed

  • Available to respond to emergency pick-up and delivery after hours including nights and weekends

  • Appropriately records repairs and parts used

  • Conforms to applicable standard operating procedures and policies

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • May be required to work overtime, Flexibility to work early or late shifts is essential

Minimum Education and Experience

  • HIgh School Diploma or GED

  • Must have a Drivers License with a clean driving record

  • Will need to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Able to read and follow simple to complicated instructions regularly

  • Ability to read and understand complicated manuals including various computer programs

  • Must be able to priortize parts pick-up and deliveries

  • Has an attention to detail

  • Follows and encourages the Martin Marietta safety culture

  • Working knowledge of safety hazards and precautions

  • Capable of working independently and also as a team player

  • Must be an organized person capable of managing multiple and varied tasks

VIEW JOBS 11/18/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-16T00:00 Description: Position Summary: A Penske Parts Administrator is responsible for coordinating daily inventory levels, executing shop administrative tasks, and organizing other related day-to-day functions. * This is a 2nd shift position* Major Responsibilities: * Maintain optimal inventory levels through ordering parts according to sourcing procedure ensuring suppliers deliver purchases defect-free and on-time. * Receive and store parts and update PartsNet, maintaining inventory cycle counts and ensuring parts are available when needed. * Ensure warranty items are shipped and received on time, and follow-up on returns and warranty-grams * Manage the new & used battery inventory and ensure that tires are on hand in the right quantity and specifications * Manage all purchasing (not including office supplies) * Process and manage receipts, payables, and invoices from suppliers * Manage vendor performance for timely repairs and invoicing * Answer telephone dealing directly with customers and vendors * Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor Qualifications: * 3 years of general office experience required * 1 year of inventory control experience highly desired * HS diploma or equivalent required, degree preferred * Strong customer service skills * Excellent phone skills * Understanding of engine, drive-train, and body parts * AS400 experience preferred * Proficiency with MS office Software as well as EP system navigation * Ability to work independently, developing people skills, organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills required * Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job * Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
