This is a Work At Home (WAH) position working in and around the Pueblo County area. The duty station will be the selectee's home address.

Responsibilities

The individual selected for this position will:

  • Plan, develop, and coordinate the partnership agreements to ensure activities all levels are carried out, resolves problems encountered, and determines the need for renegotiation.

  • Addresses questions, concerns and issues related to current and potential partners and stakeholders.

  • Establish partnership agreements with federal, tribal, state and local governments, and/or local businesses and community groups to develop specific strategies to eliminate enumeration barriers in specific regions in support of the Decennial Census.

  • Develop presentations, give briefings, conduct meetings and promote partnerships with various governments, local businesses and community groups.

Qualifications

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Examples of specialized experience or education sought for this opportunity may include:

EXPERIENCE: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the grade 09 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is work experience applying analytical techniques and interpersonal relations in dealing effectively with targeted audience; and analyzing the views and opinions from organizations and developing recommendations for stimulating interest in activities.

EDUCATION: Three full years of graduate education or the Ph.D., directly related to the position that provided the knowledge of speech communication; broadcast journalism; creative writing; public administration; advertising; mass communication or mass media; public relations techniques; or radio, television, and film production.

GG-0301-12:

EXPERIENCE: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the grade 11 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is work experience conducting public affairs programs involving public information community relations activities and seeking cooperation; and presenting information to internal and external groups to inform them of program objectives and activities; and (2) ability to present information to the public including media, state, and local government officials, community businesses, and organization program officers.

EDUCATION: No substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Locations include stores in the Southern Colorado area and occasional travel to other areas in the division. Travel to Denver Division office in Centennial, CO semi annually for training/meetings. PURPOSE: Deters, detects and apprehends individuals committing thefts or other crimes at store level. Provide excellent service through the reduction of shrink and loss caused by theft utilizing clear and concise communication with all store employees. DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES: Apprehends shoplifters in accordance with Company policies and state and local laws. Assigned individually or with a partner to work at various store locations. Assists in the performance of Asset Protection related inspections. Respond to anti-theft alarms. Assist with monitoring and oversight throughout the store to monitor shrink control, external loss, safety and customer service. Conducts investigations at the direction of the Asset Protection Management. Prepares and maintains proper documentation. Cooperates with and responds to requests made by police departments, courts and other law enforcement agencies as directed by asset protection management and in house counsel. Responsible for performing all job duties accurately, safely with honesty and integrity. Represents the division office and Asset Protection department in a positive manner to the customers and the public. Communicates with employees on asset protection issues. Reports any incident that may cause loss to the Company including safety hazards, food safety and food handling issues, restricted sales, sale of unsafe or out of code product. PHYISCAL AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to be friendly, courteous, tactful and to maintain composure in dealing with customers and co-workers in confrontational and high stress environments. Ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods of time. Ability to move quickly in case of emergencies. Must possess good oral communication skills. Ability to understand and follow instructions, deal with potentially difficult situations effectively and assertively. Ability to work as a team player. Ability to understand and accept instructions and to communicate with co-workers and the public. Must possess mental alertness, basic mathematics skills and weights and measures. Must possess basic computer knowledge to include Microsoft office and its components. Complies with all Company policies including safety, Asset Protection, attendance, grooming standards and dress codes. Varied schedule includes evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
