The team is seeking a strong senior leader to define the business case and opportunity, strategy and value proposition/positioning of our partner offerings and the corresponding infrastructure, aligned to Business Applications, SMB and partner attribution thinking for partner programs.

  • Product management experience

  • Understanding of the partner ecosystem

  • Understanding of Dynamics product suite and partner proposition

  • Analytical skills

  • Understanding of Microsoft's SMB strategy and offerings and the partner proposition for them

  • Excellence in execution from strategy through to experience launch. attention to detail, self-discipline and self-motivation

  • Strong cross group collaboration and communication skills

  • Business and strategy leadership with excellence in technology planning and marketing

  • Highly developed quantitative and analytical skills informing strategic recommendations

  • Understanding of business metrics, financial analytics and proficiency with financial calculations for business modeling (in partnership with OCP and Business Applications finance teams)

  • Knowledge of Business Applications and SMB business models

  • Experience in a complex multi-team environment driving agile business strategy

  • Razor-sharp intellect, coupled with strong problem solving, judgment, decision making and strategic capabilities

  • Negotiation skills a plus

  • Familiarity with Microsoft's software development life cycle.

  • Frame and prioritize market opportunities, analyzing competitive advantages and influence our program plans for Business Applications and SMB

  • Define partner overall value proposition, strategy and positioning across solution offerings and design our program accordingly

  • Work with OCP Partner Attribution lead on program implications

  • Working with multi discipline stakeholders and ability to influence through storytelling or synthesize complex ideas into understandable propositions

  • Manage Business Applications and SMB program offers through entire lifecycle, including release, maintenance and retirement

  • Work closely with peers in One Commercial Partner (OCP), Business Applications and SMB on ensuring cross Microsoft consistency in our programmatic approach

  • Leverage listening systems (self-initiated research on market conditions/field/analysts/partner councils/customers/ formal customer and partner research) to inform strategic proposals

  • Own program design, working with Partner Experience Engineering (PX engineering) and our stakeholders on infrastructure

  • Contributing to cross team governance to discuss, define and drive decisions regarding program strategy and execution (Director/General Manager), and (Corporate Vice President) cadence as needed.

  • Represent Programs GM, Sr Strategy Director and Director in executive forums.

You will collaborate with senior leadership and participate on engagements advising clients at the highest strategic level with big-picture and tactical guidance on how technology enables a wide range of business outcomes. Previous management consulting experience is necessary to be successful in this role. As part of our Business Applications Advisory practice, you'll help our clients realize business transformation, empower business process agility and provide business insight. The Advisory team provides strategic advice and leverages technology advancements (e.g., analytics, intelligent automation, etc.) to drive business transformation. We deliver our broad range of Advisory services through an integrated, collaborative approach between our clients and practitioners. Day-to-Day/Key Role Responsibilities are: * Support Business Application Practice Leadership on client engagements, responsible for the project management and associated deliverables * Key responsibilities include: Create Strategy; Assessments; Vision & Roadmaps and Business Case deliverables as well as provide data driven informational workshops and presentations * Identify trends and strategies for Business Application solutions to meet client business, financial and technical objectives * Conduct detailed analyses/interviews to understand and explain client problems and utilize standard consulting engagement practices such as facilitation, interviewing, gap analysis, etc., and provide input for workshops and support clients in service delivery transformation * Identify, develop and document issues, perform analysis, draw conclusions and formulate strategic recommendations * Create clear and actionable strategic roadmaps and supporting business cases that both delineate a broader end-game, while also prioritizing quick wins with near-term measurable impact * Assist senior team members with sales efforts including development of client proposals and pitch mechanics. Delivering sales presentations to clients, including designing and development presentations and responding to RFPs * Travel as dictated by business needs, up to 80% overnight travel throughout North America Required Skills & Experience: * 6 or more years of external client facing Advisory-Strategy Management Consulting experience from a top management or IT professional services firm.
