Job Description:

As a Partner Manager, Developer Relations, you will identify, curate and cultivate key developer relationships which support Magic Leap's third-party content ecosystem. This includes initial outreach, onboarding and management of 1:1 relationships with third-party developer partners. You will handle multiple partnerships and manage projects across a variety of product verticals to serve Consumer and Enterprise customers (example categories include interactive entertainment, location-based experiences, productivity, healthcare, AEC, automotive and industrial applications). You must have a strong passion for XR and an innate ability to recognize standout developers with the skill and fortitude to create exemplary spatial computing experiences for Magic Leap's platform.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, cultivate and manage long term, mutually beneficial 1:1 relationships with developers. Guide and support their efforts to bring exemplary content, applications and experiences to Magic Leap.

  • Build deep knowledge of the company's technology/products/services so as to articulate how they enable developers.

  • Relentlessly advocate for developers' needs internally within the company to improve our overall developer platform, products and services.

  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts in technology and product design to guide and support partners' development efforts.

  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders in Business Development, Sales and Marketing to identify, prioritize and engage with 3rd parties, including developers and middleware/technology providers.

  • Identify new opportunities for strategic developer partnerships and aid in due diligence to determine near, mid, far-term potential for Magic Leap's customers.

  • Responsible for project oversight and risk management of full product life-cycle for a portfolio of third party applications funded by Magic Leap.

  • Grow and maintain a network of developer contacts in the growing spatial computing industry.

  • Participate in and help to facilitate Magic Leap's engagement in developer industry events.

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years in related field(s) (technology, interactive entertainment, VR/AR, enterprise application development) managing partner relationships, product management, or similar experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across Hardware, Software, Product, Legal, Business Development, Sales & Marketing.

  • Proven ability to recognize industry trends, develop an understanding of long-term implications, and deliver recommended strategies for new opportunities to expand Magic Leap's third-party content ecosystem

  • Strategic and analytical thinking, strong product management and problem-solving skills, sound judgment and a willingness to resolve issues and problems in a timely manner

  • Impeccable communication skills: the ability to develop strong rapport and credibility both externally with developer partners and internally across the organization, resolve conflicts and promote ideas persuasively

  • Comfort with and eagerness to tackle ambiguous problems

  • Solid understanding of and experience with VR/AR product development in one or more of the following content verticals: interactive entertainment, location-based experiences, productivity, healthcare, AEC, automotive, industrial software applications. Ability to ramp-up quickly on new content verticals

  • Strong technical acumen. Understanding of the VR/AR development process and ability to articulate challenges and source solutions for partner developers.

  • Highly collaborative and able to influence. Should embrace, support and practice a collaborative style which goes beyond relationship building. Will achieve results with and through others.

  • Ability to travel 35%

General Description This is a senior-level supervisory position responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of county-wide water resources initiatives to address urban and natural systems needs with a focus on current and future conditions planning. Responsibilities include administration of water resources assessment, water conservation, and water policy and planning programs and extensive collaboration with local governments, water managers, and agency partners as part of integrated water resource management and multijurisdictional initiatives. Program efforts employ advanced hydrologic models and climate change scenarios to guide planning decisions. Work involves direct coordination with the Division Director, supervision of program staff, review and preparation of technical documents, contract and budget management, staffing of boards and committees, and legislative support. Implements water resources planning, management, protection, and conservation strategies. Works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a professional or scientific field such as biology, ecology, environmental science, engineering, geology, hydrology or closely related field. Requires six (6) years of experience in programs related to water quantity and quality, water resources planning or management including two (2) years of supervisory experience. Special Certifications and Licenses None. Preferences Candidates with a Ph.D. in Biology, Ecology, Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering or a related field preferred. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary. Directs the preparation of computer modeling, technical hydrologic analysis, groundwater studies and long-range planning for alternative water supplies; researches the latest communication tools and technologies for the dissemination of hydrologic modeling analysis; receives, reviews and synthesizes technical plans, ordinances, regulations, programs from federal, state and regional agencies as needed to ensure consistency with the County-wide Integrated Water Resource Plan and current initiatives. Develops policies, procedures, guidelines and priorities to meet established goals of the County's Integrated Water Resources Plan. Manages projects and programs in coordination with managers; directs planning, scheduling and coordination of program activities. Oversees development, implementation and update of the County's Integrated Water Resources Plan including water management strategies, water resources assessments, policy coordination, outreach and education. Coordinates regional water resource initiatives focused on sustainable and efficient water resource management, with consideration for drainage, flood protection, water supply and natural system needs, sensitive to water quality and quantity concerns. Ensures the continued enhancement and robust application of the county's hydrologic models to support informed water resource management, planning and investment under current and future conditions. Actively integrates climate science and climate change considerations across all aspects of program activities, with emphasis on addressing impacts of sea level rise and changes in precipitation. Supports the county's resilience initiatives and efforts as a partner in the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact Develops, maintains, and advances partnerships with local governments, academic institutions, water managers, the private sector, state and agency partners, at not-for-profits in furtherance of water resources initiatives, studies, and projects. Prepares and manages operational and capital budgets; pursues funding opportunities and partnership; prepares grant proposals; procures services; manages grant funding and contract agreements.
