Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).

  • Experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).

  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience in Internet products and technologies in either software engineering, product management, engineering program management, technical account management, sales engineering, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of the Music Industry.

  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.

The Music Solutions team accelerates YouTube's Music businesses with stellar technology strategies, operations, and partner support, making data exchange seamless and scaling critical business processes. Our team of Partner Technology Managers, Solutions Consultants, Product Specialists, and Program Managers supports YouTube Music and Google Play Music, providing technical solutions and support for our top music partners - including artists, labels, and publishers around the globe.

The YouTube Partner Engineering team delivers support for industry leading premium products including YouTube Music, YouTube TV and YouTube Living Room; and for cutting edge platforms such as shopping, mobile devices, TVs, and third-party audience measurement. As a center of excellence in solving technical problems at scale, we deliver solutions to help our entertainment industry, consumer device, and audience measurement partners provide the highest product quality across our vibrant digital ecosystem.

As a Partner Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to have a direct impact on a business enjoyed by music lovers. You will be a technologist taking responsibility for the success of YouTube's largest partnerships, leading deployments, optimizing implementations to increase business, driving new business opportunities, and seeking innovative solutions in the fluid work of digital music to build strong, successful, long-term partnerships.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $94,500-$139,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop the infrastructure of our partner-facing team, building tools and systems to support our partners. Provide training, documentation, and technical expertise to accelerate their development and integration.

  • Design, develop, and maintain the tools and systems required by our business and technical partner-facing teams to support our partners. Identify, drive, and optimize the flow from business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies through prototyping and innovation.

  • Perform implementation reviews, drive new product features and internal tools, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.

  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in their respective process lifecycle to provide technical guidance, or identify possible existing or new technical solution offerings to help shape the outcomes with some guidance.
