Qualifications:

The ideal attorney will have an existing client base and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience providing legal representation.

Job Description: Corporate Counsel or Senior Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: * Legal review and negotiation of government healthcare RFPs, contracts, and amendments * Provide legal advice on ethics, compliance, intellectual property, public record requests, privacy, and other matters * Manage contract claims and bid protests * Conduct internal investigations * As requested, collaborate with and provide support to other law department organizations (e.g., M&A, Employment, Privacy, Real Estate, Litigation, and Procurement) Minimum Qualifications: * 5 years legal experience with an emphasis on reviewing and negotiating RFPs, contracts, subcontracts, software licenses, teaming agreements, and related components * Substantial experience with government contracting in the domestic state and local procurement marketplace * Experience with Federal and State healthcare law, including Medicaid, Pharmacy Benefit Management, Enrollment Brokers, HIPAA, and Third Party Liability * Proven success partnering with operational business units (including Sales and Operations) and corporate service departments (Legal, Finance, Human Resources, Tax, Treasury, Facilities, etc.) to ensure appropriate risk analysis and transaction structuring * Ability to travel domestically up to 15% * A commitment to excellence and quality of work * Proven leadership skills and ability as a decision-maker * Proven advocacy skills * Proven ability to work independently Preferred Additional Professional Qualifications: * Experience with Federal and State privacy, ethics, and public records laws * Experience with mergers and acquisitions * Experience with Federal procurement and Federal grant law * Experience with managing litigation, including bid protests * Experience with conducting internal investigations Education: * Juris Doctor, plus active membership in a state bar * District of Columbia bar membership a plus Conduent is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, gender identity, gender expression, sex/gender, marital status, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, medical condition, use of a guide dog or service animal, military/veteran status, citizenship status, basis of genetic information, or any other group protected by law.
