PART TIME UNIFIED FAMILY COURT CASE MANAGER

DEPARTMENT: Elkhart County Judiciary

HIRING RANGE: $21.20-$23.55/hour

BENEFITS OFFERED: No Benefits Offered

POSITION TO BE FILLED: ASAP

HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Up to 29 hours/week

LOCATION OF POSITION: Elkhart /Goshen

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for overseeing family court cases providing services for children and families being served, and ensuring compliance with court ordered services, programming, or court orders imposed in the Unified Family Court.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in behavioral sciences, social work, criminal justice, or a related field and NCIC

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Working knowledge of and ability to make practical application of local, state, and federal regulations/statutes, standard policies and procedures, adult/juvenile criminal code, and legal terminology of criminal justice system; as well as to implement department policies, directives, and general orders

• Excellent organizational and communications skills and a sound knowledge of office procedures/practices

• Ability to deal swiftly, rationally, and decisively with potentially violent individuals in precarious situations, and take authoritative action applying appropriate discretion and common sense

• Background check & drug screen required
