Job Summary
The Part-Time Testing & Assessment Support Specialist provides specialized support for various testing procedures and programs. This is skilled testing and assessment work that requires the use of College applications and computer information systems with the expectation to operate within various testing rules, regulations, policies and procedures set forth by Miami Dade College and the State of Florida.
Duties & Responsibilities
Interprets and implements complex testing and assessment policies and procedures
Edits tables, graphs or text data in multiple formats
Conducts multiple data entry of students' score reports and other testing and assessment information
Collaborates with staff to ensure timely completion of projects and assignments
Assesses portals and files related to assessment, program review, and continuous improvement
Ensures the security of all assessment instruments
Assists with the maintenance of various web pages' layout and content
Operates scanner and converts confidential documents into electronic format
Maintains and assists department in using comprehensive databases
Archives documents in designated share drives
Resolves student issues related to testing and assessment
Offers support during the administration of feedback related administrations
Assists in the training of other part time staff, proctors and examiners
Scores and reports test and survey results
Disseminates information about tests and assessment services provided by the department
Provides testing and assessment support services off campus as necessary
Processes scores received from other institutions, as per established procedures
Operates within standard practices and procedures of the department
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of experience in testing and/or office/student/customer service experience
All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
Possess strong computer skills including all Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, Outlook, and Dreamweaver
Ability to create, edit, and formal Adobe PDF files and HTML type files
Possess effective time management skills to handle and organize multiple projects
Ability to demonstrate consistent attention to detail skills
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Possess outstanding customer services skills
Ability to travel to multiple campuses as needed
Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, and weekends
Additional Requirements
The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
