Who We Need:

Tellers are the face of M&T within our branches. Our customers enter with needs and leave feeling like we have their backs. As a Teller with M&T bank, you'll be an important member of our branch team as we build relationships with customers, process their transactions, and help them understand options available to them.

We'll provide on-the-job training in teller skills. If you're reliable, friendly, and ready to deliver excellent customer service, we're ready for you. Hiring Immediately!

Your Typical Day:

• Welcome all bank visitors with a warm and friendly smile

• Listen to customers and understand their needs

• Educate customers on products and services available to them

• Accurately and efficiently process teller transactions

• Support operational needs such as cash ordering, vault, ATM, wire transfer, Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and compliance-related tasks

• Support a diverse environment that supports the M&T Bank brand

• Complete other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum of 6 months customer service experience, including either cash handling or data entry experience

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Professional communication skills and interpersonal skills

• Retail customer services skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Technology savvy

• Bilingual ability is not required but is a strong plus depending on location

Physical Requirements

• Lifting objects up to 30lbs

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.76 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
