Part-Time Shop Lead (Brooklinen X Bloomingdale's)

Overview

Brooklinen is expanding our physical presence in one of the leading luxury department stores in the home space, Bloomingdales! We're looking for a self-starter to be our first-ever Part Time Shop Lead in the Bloomingdales' 59th St location. In addition, this role will also work 1-2 days/week in our West Village store as a Sales Lead supporting and leading the daily business operations of one of our highest volume retail locations.

You'll love this role if you're motivated to drive sales and are as obsessed as we are with making people's homes happy, comfortable (and aesthetically pleasing!) places, and providing amazing customer experiences.

Special note: This role is a one-year pilot program with the expectation to become permanent. The success of this pilot largely depends on the individual selected for this role to drive sales, and provide in-the-moment feedback and learnings from Bloomingdale's to the Retail HQ and Business Development Teams.

What you'll do

• Drive Sales with Prospective & Existing Customers of both Brooklinen and Bloomingdales

• Make decisive decisions in the moment around merchandising to support the brand aesthetic

• Provide feedback, and work closely with, Retail HQ and Business Development teams to ensure learnings and opportunities are capitalized on to drive customer engagement

• Provide brand and product education/value props to our customers!

• Work alongside other Shop Leads and Bloomingdales employees in a professional and courteous manner that exemplifies Brooklinen's core values and leadership competencies

• Lead the sales floor at the West Village location when scheduled to meet and exceed sales targets and other KPIs

We're looking for someone with

• 2+ years of experience in a retail (or service-oriented) environment (home or interior design space is a plus!)

• Someone who is self motivated to achieve results

• A solutions oriented individual who is able to manage ambiguity

• The ability to receive and provide constructive feedback

• The ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and enthusiastically

• The ability to work a flexible schedule (able to work in the Bloomingdale's & West Village Brooklinen location)

Compensation & Benefits

At Brooklinen, our goal is to offer a competitive total compensation package which we determine based on specific market data taking into account our company size, stage, industry, and location. The compensation for this role is $22/hour.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate in a quarterly bonus program with a target % based on your role.

Beyond base compensation and bonus, we offer a 401K with a 4% Safe Harbor Match, have commuter benefits, and provide a quarterly product allowance.
