Trissential is seeking a Part-Time Senior Project Manager to join our client's team in a primarily remote role, with occasional onsite work in the Twin Cities, as needed. The ideal candidate is an experienced project manager with a strong background in implementing enterprise-wide systems. They possess excellent business acumen, relationship-building skills, and the ability to quickly earn trust with stakeholders and project teams. Efficient and process-oriented, they manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, developing governance structures, and strong financial management skills are essential. Exceptional communication skills, analytical and strategic thinking, and proficiency in MS Project and MS Office are required. The candidate thrives under pressure, remains open to feedback, and continuously learns. This role is open only to candidates authorized to work and reside in the US.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Understand the project drivers and expected business outcomes
Define and manage project scope, goals, and deliverables to achieve business outcomes while meeting deadlines, budgets, scope, and quality standards
Develop comprehensive project management plans in collaboration with key stakeholders, including the vendor, to achieve business outcomes. Plans should include schedule, scope, budget, quality, risk, and resources
Develop and facilitate a project governance structure
Lead and motivate project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders
Perform stakeholder management
Facilitate the day-to-day aspects of project schedule, budget, scope, and quality
Direct the activities of project resources
Coordinate end-user training with the vendor
Oversee vendor activities and escalate issues as applicable
Log and follow through on project-related risks, action items, issues, and decisions
Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions
Perform risk management and escalate issues and risks as needed
Provide complete transparency to project performance
Control scope to achieve value within the approved time and cost; recommend timely corrective actions
Ensure compliance with company policies
Develop an implementation strategy
Develop a transition plan
Monitor progress and report status, including budget tracking
Provide feedback for continuous improvement
Perform other duties as assigned
Primary Deliverables
Develop comprehensive Project Management Plans, including:
Scope statement
Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
Project schedule
Budget
Resource/Staffing plan
Implementation strategy
Establish and facilitate a governance structure
Create and maintain a Stakeholder Engagement Plan
Track and report the project's operational budget
Maintain a RAID register (Risks, Action Items, Issues, Decisions)
Coordinate end-user training with the vendor
Develop and oversee a Vendor Management Plan
Establish and maintain a Communication Plan
Ensure quality management throughout the project lifecycle
Develop a transition plan for post-implementation
Provide regular status reports, including hours burndown
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or related field (or an Associate's degree plus an additional 5 years of experience)
5+ years of experience as a project manager for enterprise-wide systems, preferably within work and asset management capabilities
Proven experience in creating and facilitating governance structures
Strong leadership skills and experience managing large, diverse teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired
Experience managing projects in state, county, or city governments or the non-profit sector
Experience as a project manager in implementing project management systems
PMP certification from PMI or other project management certification

Benefits
Trissential offers competitive compensation package for part time roles. The hourly pay range for this role is $75 to $85 based on candidate's qualifications and experience. This role is estimated to be 20 hours per week for approximately 12 months.
