ELKHART COUNTY GOVERNMENTAL POSITION VACANCY NOTICE

PART TIME SEASONAL BONNEYVILLE MILL ATTENDANT

DEPARTMENT: Elkhart County Parks

HIRING RATE: $16.00/hour

BENEFITS: No Benefits Offered

POSITION TO BE FILLED: April 14th

HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: 16-18 hours/week. Must be flexible and available to work daytime hours, Wednesday-Sunday, including weekends & holidays.

LOCATION OF POSITION: Bonneyville Mill County Park - Bristol, IN

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: None

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist with Bonneyville Mill operation, including grain grinding and storage, mill equipment operations and maintenance, selling of mill products and cleaning of the mill. Work professionally with general public, utilizing good customer service skills. Assist in interpretive programming, including presenting mill tours to visitors and school children and maintaining historical exhibits pertaining to the mill. Assist in the cleanliness, safety and structural repairs of the Mill, barn, office and gift shop as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school graduate or equivalent, higher education and/or previous experience in interpretation, science, natural resources or education preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Physically be able to climb stairs, work in small places, handle heights, work in and around water, work in a dust environment, and do lifting up to 80 pounds
• Knowledge of food, baking, and/or cooking very helpful
• Ability to operate lawn equipment and hand tools
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen
