Description:
The Nassau BOCES Department of Health and Allied Services is seeking a Part-Time School Psychologist to provide services to students in non-public schools in Nassau County. The School Psychologist will work closely with the administration of the assigned school(s). The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Attend annual review meetings, participate in screenings and provide Individualized Education Program (IEP) mandated counseling.
Assist with the development and implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Support students' social, emotional and behavioral needs.
Maintain accurate records, counseling logs and Medicaid related documents.
Other duties assigned by the building administrators as needed.
Requirements:
Experience chairing Committee on Special Education (CSE) and 504 Plan meetings.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Salary: As per labor contract.
