The Retail Employee / Project Specialist is responsible for performing a range of duties that ensures our customers have an amazing experience whether shopping in our store or picking up an order. Schedules for this part-time role include daytime, evenings, weekends, and early mornings.

  • Welcomes and greets all customers either as Host in the front entrance or throughout the store

  • Connects with our customers throughout the store suggesting solutions to their organizational challenges

  • Designs and sells custom closets and other storage and organization solutions

  • Serves as a register person with strong focus on providing a great customer experience during check out

  • Introduces and enrolls customers in our rewards program

  • Works merchandise processing during early morning or evenings (based on the schedule)

  • Maintains the Sales Floor - keeping shelves full and presented according to our brand standards.

  • Supports carryout to our customers cars whether through curbside or in the parking lot/garages.

  • Assists with cleaning routines around the store - including dusting, restrooms and vacuuming

  • Processes customers' orders for curbside pick-up and/or delivery

  • Organizes the stockroom, ensuring it is well-maintained to support selling efforts of the store

  • Adheres to the time expectations established for the role, performing tasks with accuracy and timeliness, while exhibiting pace and attention to detail

  • Actively engages with customers to solve their organizational challenges

  • High school diploma preferred

  • Retail sales experience a plus

  • Strong computer skills

  • Enjoys engaging with people and connecting with customers

  • Understands retail is an ever-changing industry and requires flexibility in scheduling

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Complete the set up and cleanup of all areas pertaining to a la carte as well as any other tasks assigned by management. Enhance dining experience by following proper service procedures and by exceeding member expectations. Be willing and able to communicate courteously and politely with members daily. Maintain a professional demeanor, work harmoniously with others, and strive to excel.</p><p>Primary Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Proper serving and clearing of food and beverages</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of our menu and being able to answer questions about ingredients or cooking techniques</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of our house wine selections, including the grape and region; vintage is a bonus</p></li><li><p>Ability to present and pour a bottle of wine or champagne</p></li><li><p>Communicate courteously and politely with members</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of and efficient use of the POS system</p></li><li><p>Setting an A la Carte and a Banquet table properly: positioning of china, silver and glassware</p></li><li><p>Gathering and setting of daily functions: placing tables, chairs and setting to specifications noted on write-up</p></li><li><p>Completing close-out responsibilities-cleaning and re-stocking a la carte areas for use the next day</p></li><li><p>Most important requirement is that the server show up on time, properly groomed and dressed, and in a positive frame of mind to be a productive member of our team</p></li><li><p>Attend menu tasting which occur every 6 weeks</p></li><li><p>Attend additional training classes as announced, i.e. wine training, and banquet training</p></li><li><p>Additional duties/ projects as assigned by management</p></li><li><p>Serve with banquet staff at occasional large functions or weddings</p></li><li><p>Folding napkins for service in the dining rooms as well as for the week's functions</p></li><li><p>Replenishing condiments, salt and pepper, lemon wedges, coffee and tea</p></li><li><p>Assisting with the setup and breakdown of other events taking place in the clubhouse</p></li></ul><p>Required Skills:</p><ul><li><p>Excellent Food and Beverage knowledge.</p></li><li><p>Exposure to a private club environment is preferable.</p></li></ul><p>Specialized Knowledge/Licenses Required:</p><ul><li>TIPs Certified</li></ul><p>Physical Requirements:</p><ul><li><p>Must be able bend and reach for items off shelf, carry trays, able to lift up to 30 lbs.</p></li><li><p>Must be able to stand for 8 to 10 hours</p></li><li><p>Use touch screen for POS system</p></li><li><p>Basic reading and writing skills and ability to speak English conversationally</p></li></ul> The Country Club Chestnut Hill MA
