This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,560 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits.

Job Description

This part-time Program Leader position for Live Healthy Gwinnett will be responsible for providing on-site and mobile educational programming for participants of various age groups. Locations may include summer camps, senior centers, after school programs, etc. This role lends support and technical assistance to youth and adults. The incumbent will assist leading community outreach initiatives, promote gardening volunteer workdays, and assist with maintaining crops at multiple sites. This role requires the incumbent to work and interact with participants and staff in a positive manner while providing a safe learning environment.

Essential Duties

  • Completing administrative tasks such as processing gardener application payments

  • Facilitating educational programs with youth, adults, and seniors (10 to 25 participants)

  • Driving a large box truck and van

  • Working weekends and evening for programs/events

  • Managing multiple projects, organizing priorities and having a flexible schedule

Public Speaking Duties

  • Leading educational programs in front of 10 to 25 people of various age groups (adults, seniors, youth)
  • Attending outreach events to promote upcoming programs, and educating the public about the mission of Live Healthy Gwinnett

Minimum Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or GED
  • Current CPR/First aid certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree

  • One year of related experience

  • Classroom and/or childcare experience

  • Supervisory experience
