UMKC Conservatory Academy
Job Description
This position serves as a Program Assistant for the Conservatory Academy, an auxiliary unit supporting the UMKC Conservatory, and faculty lead recruitment programs such as festivals, summer camps, masterclasses, and clinics. The Academy provides lessons and classes to community members, operating as a profitable nosiness that provides funding to supplement the Conservatory budget, as well as making important community connections and providing teaching opportunities for Conservatory students. The job incumbent would answer inquiries from potential and current students, help manage current and incoming Academy student accounts, and assistant with event preparations.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Answering inquiries from potential students, current students, school directors and event participants via the phone and email.
Processing both online and hard copy registration forms, payments and sending event/activity confirmations.
Updating event and teacher rosters based on daily reports.
Assisting with event preparation.
Shift
20 hours per week, Monday
8pm. Some weekend work will be required during event seasons in October and March
June.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree of an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Up to $16.92 per hour commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.
